Neely Cup Schedule, Rosters

The intrasquad Neely Cup Tournament is set for this weekend, as the players are divided into four teams named after Winterhawks legends. All Neely Cup sessions, which will be held at Winterhawks Skating Center, are free.

After Ty Rattie set the Winterhawks’ franchise record for career playoff goals in last season’s playoffs (30), this year’s teams will be named after the next four players on that list: Randy Heath (28 career playoff goals), Troy Mick (27), Dennis Holland (25), and Ken Yaremchuk (24).

The Neely Cup schedule is listed below. Each timeframe will actually see two games played. For instance, Thursday's Heath vs. Mick matchup will actually be two separate games split into that timeframe, so that every team plays eight games in the tournament. The schedule is as follows:

Thursday, August 23rd                     
4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. – Heath vs. Mick           
5:45 p.m. – 7:15 p.m. – Holland vs. Yaremchuk    

Friday, August 24th
4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. – Yaremchuk vs. Mick
5:45 p.m. – 7:15 p.m. – Holland vs. Heath

Saturday, August 25th                   
4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. – Holland vs. Mick       
5:45 p.m. – 7:15 p.m. – Heath vs. Yaremchuk 

Sunday, August 26th
9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. – Teams TBD – Third place game
10:45 a.m. – 12:15 p. m. – Teams TBD – First place game
