The Portland Winterhawks have finalized the venue schedule for the 2012-13 season, with 19 of the team’s 36 regular season home games scheduled for the Rose Garden (the full venue schedule can be downloaded as a pdf).
The team’s first four home games will take place at the Garden, including opening night on September 21 when the Winterhawks raise their second straight Western Conference championship banner to the rafters.
When the Winterhawks play their first game at Veterans Memorial Coliseum on October 28, they’ll be doing so on the refurbished ice sheet currently being installed in the arena.
The Winterhawks have also announced dates for the team’s popular promotions this season. Among the highlights are the Teddy Bear Toss on Dec. 15, the annual New Year’s Eve game against Seattle, with a post-game skate with the players, the Dash For Cash on Jan. 18, the Great Airplane Toss on Feb. 16 and Mascot Night on Mar. 15.
The Hawks will also play daytime matinees with the curtains open in the Coliseum on Nov. 23 (Black Friday), Jan. 21 (Martin Luther King, Jr. Day) and Feb. 18 (Presidents Day).
Season tickets and 20-, 12- and 6-game ticket packages for the 2012-13 season are on sale now. Visit winterhawks.com or call 503-236-HAWK to reserve the best seat locations.
