Portland Winterhawks players are adept at scoring goals, dishing out hits, and making big saves. But can they grow moustaches in a month?
It’s debatable, but that won’t stop them from trying.
Winterhawks players are again participating in Movember, where they’ll spend the month of November growing out their moustaches to raise funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and other cancers that affect men. Fans can support their efforts by making a donation here.
Fans can also get involved by joining the Winterhawks’ Movember team, growing out their own moustaches and collecting donations to help the Hawks in the cause.
Fans can visit the team’s Facebook page throughout the month for photos of the guys’ progress, beginning today with some “Before” pictures.
Season tickets and 20-, 12- and 6-game ticket packages for the 2012-13 season are on sale now. Visit winterhawks.com or call 503-236-HAWK to reserve the best seat locations.
