Promotional Schedule

The Portland Winterhawks have finalized the venue schedule and promotions calendar for the 2015-16 season, with 20 games set for the Moda Center and 16 to be played in Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

The home schedule begins on Saturday, October 3 with the Pacific Office Automation 40th Anniversary home opener at the Moda Center against the Everett Silvertips at 7 p.m. The team’s first four home games will take place in the Moda Center, before heading to Veterans Memorial Coliseum on October 16 to take on the Silvertips at 7 p.m.

  • Sat., October 3 vs. Everett - Pacific Office Automation 40th Anniversary Home Opener
    • Join us as the team kicks off the 40th Anniversary of Winterhawks hockey with the Pacific Office Automation Home Opener against Everett in the Moda Center. 

  • Fri., October 16 vs. Everett - Belmont Station Presents Hawktoberfest/Fred Meyer Family Night

  • Sun., October 25 vs. Brandon - Belmont Station Presents Beer Tasting Night

  • Fri., November 6 vs. Kelowna - Movember Presented by Compass Oncology
    • Details forthcoming on the team's annual night to benefit men's health initiatives. 

  • Sat., November 7 vs. Kelowna - The Boeing Company Veterans Day Salute/Fred Meyer Family Night & Turkey Shoot
    • The Boeing Company joins the Hawks to honor local veterans and active service members at this year's Veterans Day Salute. After the game, ladies 18+ in attendance are invited to take part in the annual Fred Meyer Turkey Shoot for the chance to win a free Thanksgiving turkey from Fred Meyer.

  • Fri., November 13 vs. Swift Current - Belmont Station Presents Beer Tasting Night

  • Sat., November 28 vs. Vancouver - Burgerville Daylight Classic
    • The curtains will drop in the Veterans Memorial Coliseum for the first of three Daylight Classic games this season, with a special 3 p.m. start. 

  • Fri., December 11 vs. Prince George - Les Schwab Toy Drive/Fred Meyer Family Night & Ham Shoot
    • Les Schwab will be on site at the December 11th game to collect new, unwrapped toys for the Les Schwab KPTV Toy Drive. After the game, ladies 18+ in attendance are invited down to the ice for a chance to shoot for a free ham in the annual Fred Meyer Ham Shoot. 

  • Sat., December 12 vs. Prince George - Les Schwab Teddy Bear Toss
    • The crowd at the Coliseum will be buzzing with excitement as fans get ready for the team's annual Teddy Bear Toss. Fans can throw stuffed animals on the ice when the Hawks score their first goal, bringing a shower of teddies onto the ice. The stuffed animals will then be donated to children’s hospitals and local agencies that help children in need. (Special start time *6 p.m.)

  • Thur., December 31 vs. Seattle - Toyota New Year's Eve; Post-Game Skate with Players
    • The Hawks take on Seattle in the annual New Year’s Eve game with a special start time of 7:30 p.m. After the game, fans will have a chance to skate with the Winterhawks players as we count down to midnight at the Moda Center.  

  • Sat., January 2 vs. Spokane - Jack-in-the-Box Lift Ticket Night
    • Fans in attendance will receive lift tickets to Mt. Hood Meadows courtesy of Jack in the Box. 

  • Sun., January 10 vs. Kamloops - Belmont Station Presents Beer Tasting Night

  • Sat., January 16 vs. Saskatoon - The Boeing Company Airplane Toss/Fred Meyer Family Night
    • After the game, fans will aim paper airplanes at targets on the ice to win great prizes in The Boeing Company Great Airplane Toss.

  • Mon., January 18 vs. Vancouver - Daylight Classic
    • The curtains will be down in the Coliseum for the second time this year in the January 18th Daylight Classic against the Vancouver Giants. Join us for some afternoon Winterhawks hockey starting at 3 p.m.!

  • Fri., January 22 vs. Seattle - Compass Oncology Pink the Rink/LaRog Ladies Night
    • The Hawks and Compass Oncology are teaming up again to promote breast cancer awareness and raise money for a cure at the annual Compass Oncology Pink the Rink game. The Hawks will also host La Rog “Ladies Night” at the game, with prize giveaways and contests for ladies only throughout the evening. 

  • Fri., February 5 vs. Seattle - George Morlan Plumbing Supply Mascot Night 
    • Hawks mascot Tom-A-Hawk invites his furry friends to join in the fun of the Winterhawks’ annual Mascot Night presented by George Morlan Plumbing Supply, with a mascot game on the ice during one of the intermissions and festivities for the whole family throughout the evening. 

  • Sat., February 6 vs. Victoria - Widmer Brothers Guys Night
    • It'll be the Winterhawks' second annual "Guys Night" when the team hosts the Victoria Royals, with promotions throughout the evening for the guys in attendance.

  • Mon., February 15 vs. Victoria - Bank of America Presidents' Day Daylight Classic/Fred Meyer Family Night
    • The Hawks take on the Victoria Royals in the final afternoon game of the season -- the Bank of America Presidents' Day Daylight Classic! (3 p.m. start)

  • Fri., March 4 vs. Tri-City - Belmont Station Presents Beer Tasting Night

  • Sat., March 12 vs. Seattle - Fred Meyer Food Drive Presented by Burgerville
    • Fans are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to the game on March 12 to benefit the Fred Meyer Food Drive which will take place during the game.

  • Sun., March 13 vs. Everett - Oregon College Savings Plan "Jerseys Off the Back"
    • Following the game on March 13, the Hawks will give the jerseys off their backs to a select group of fans to benefit the Winterhawks Amateur Hockey Association’s Player Education Fund during a special presentation sponsored by Oregon College Savings Plan.

  • Fri., March 18 vs. Spokane - H&R Block Dash For Cash
    • Lucky contestants will have the chance to scoop up as many coins as they can in the annual H&R Block Dash For Cash when $10,000 in silver dollars will be spread across the ice.

  • Sun., March 20 vs. Seattle - Season Finale, Team Awards & Fred Meyer Family Night
    • The regular season will wrap up on Mar. 20 when the Hawks take on the Seattle Thunderbirds in the 2015-16 season finale. Fans will want to arrive early for the team's annual award presentation before the game.
