Career

2012-13: Averaged better than a point per game with 45 points in 44 games…Despite playing just 44 games, his 45 points tied him for 13th among all WHL defensemen…No other blueliner in the top-20 played fewer than 60 games…Was one of only two defensemen in the WHL to average at least a point per game (Spokane’s Brenden Kichton was the other)…Had 10 multi-point games, including a season-high four-point outing with a goal and three assists on Mar. 16 at Seattle…Also posted four three-point games…Ranks 14th in franchise history in scoring among defensemen with 135 points…Had a seven-game point streak from Dec. 1 – 15…Drafted eighth overall by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
